Sheffield, UK

Sheffield is a small city in UK where I spent 3 months plus to complete my degree.
Staying Period: 4th June 2010 - 8th September 2010
Accommodation: Trigon, hostel

::Town of Sheffield::

I started my overseas life, my ang mo life in Sheffield, I did really enjoy the life over there with my classmates..oww.. "miss there so much" We have lots memories there, we studied, we cooked, we drunk, we poker, we gossiped, we traveled, we care, we gaming(the internet connection was awesome!), we groceries together!

Let's summaries and highlight on what I have done in Sheffield for each of the 3 months:

June 2010:
1st stepped in UK land, of course we are so excited and went to explore around without wasting time for rest. We searched for the few groceries store recommended by our senior and we lost. Anyway, we managed to find it after taken few wrong way.

After few days, we were getting to familiar the road in Sheffield and very soon, in the second week, we joined a day tour to York. Then, as what I promised myself not to waste any seconds in UK, me, yeeting, sze ling and Brian flied to Dublin, Ireland in the third weekend! We planned and bought the ticket before we depart to UK. That was my 1st self-plan backpack trip in overseas and it was nice and success without any incident happens. ^^

After we back from Dublin, everything back to study time, we meeting for assignment and catch-up everything.

Also, I was very enjoyed our cooking in Sheffield, we cooked 2/3 meals a day, that was like a "si lai" life but it was really nice and happy to cook and eat together in the hostel.

July 2010:
In July, as usual, we rushed assignment and pass up on time. For me, of course use the superb internet connection to the max by watching my lovely TVB drama in pps everyday for leisure.We did celebrate few of our July baby birthday , Chin hui and Wei Peng.

In the second week of July, we went to Whitby and Scarborough for our weekend day trip and also Meadowhall for shopping. Third week of July, I went to Liverpool with Yeeting, Brian and Wei Peng. After Liverpool trip, I was busy and concentrate on my study and homework because need to be done everything before last week of July, guess what? I have another trip again in the last week of July, I Planned a 7 days trip called it as UK rounding trip included Newcastle, Edinburgh, Scotland, London, and Birmingham.

August 2010:
August, is a another packed and tough month for me! Again, we have another overseas trip to Barcelona in the third week of August.

Why I said it was tough month?
It is because our exam is coming soon! It is on the early of September, but I still busy with traveling... lol...I know it is not right as a student, but as what I promised myself, not to waste any seconds in UK. So, I was just play hard and study hard! :) Anyway, I'm willing to scarified my sleeping time to study instead of scarified my travel time! hehe... Lucky and thanks god I pass my exam and finally got my degree.

I did really study hard at the night time and the time I didn't go out for travel. :)
Not to forget, we have a seafood dinner organize by Apple before our course ended.

September 2010:
Final Exam Month! Just right after the final exam, we are rushing to start our Europe trip! *I will talk about each of the country I went in Europe later. :)

Among the 3 months, we also have went to some tourism place in Sheffield like Botanical Garden, the town to take photos...there you go:

Journey to UK

3rd June 2010, is absolutely a memorable day for me, it was my first time took a long journey flight (Etihad Airway), 15 hours flight all the way from Malaysia to United Kingdom! Not to forget to mention, I was in the flight with all my classmate which is over 20 people of us. It is really amazing and all of us was extremely excited especially for the FREE unlimited alchoholic drinks on air! :D *In fact, it is included in our expensive air ticket, :(

After the long journey with a 2 hours short stopped in Abu Dhabi, finally we reached Manchester, U.K on 4th June 2010! Guess what is the first thing we do in U.K? Of cause photo session! Enjoy, guys~

1. PASS all subjects.
2. Prepare valid passport
3. Purchase air-ticket & *travel insurance(via travel agent)
4. *Medical Check-up
5. Prepare original & few sets photocopy important document
(IC, birth cert, driving license, etc)
6. Pack personal things & FLY!!!

毛毛出游记出版啦!!!

Finally I take this action - create a blog and slowly write down my previous travel experience.
It was last year, I have been lots lots lots places within three months in europe.
I'm really appreciate and proud that I could have a chance to go UK to complete my degree even that is only a shot period. This was a BIG surprise to myself because I never think that I can go to UK at this age.

With this chance, I made my dreams come true,
With this chance, I made my life different,
With this chance, I experienced western life,
With this chance, I learnt and saw different things,
With this chance, I tried backpack and I love it!

Few months before I depart to UK, I decided to backpack.
I started to research, planning for my Europe backpack trip.
In the progress, I heard a lot of negative feedback, I faced a lot of problems.
However, I sticked to my decision and worked hard for it.

Finally, I successed, I completed my mission, I made my dreams come true!
